We invite you to come together to touch the legacy of the legendary Mexican healer Maria Sabina. Her family continues to preserve the traditions of healing using the magical power of psilocybin mushrooms, which Maria Sabina herself called the Holy Children – Niños Santos. Today, in the mountains of Oaxaca, where Maria Sabina served the people, her grandson, Berna Garcia, continues her work.

And today he is the only one in the family continuing this tradition. Even as a little child, he learned a lot from his beloved Madrecita. Maria told him a lot about Niños Santos because she also felt his special connection to healing.

Where his great-grandmother Maria Sabina lived. We have visited his house many times, which is located at the very top of this village. At the request of our dear friend Bernardino, we invite all those interested to visit the homeland of Maria Sabina and experience the legendary Veladas ceremony with her great-grandson, a hereditary curandero and guardian of the Mazatec language.

During this journey, we will also embark on a light trekking tour to the power spots of Maria Sabina and visit the hill where the 6-year-old future healer first encountered the Spirit of the Mushrooms and discovered her gift.

Our journey will begin in Mexico City

From where we will travel directly to Huautla de Jiménez in a comfortable car. The trip will take approximately 6 hours, with most of the route covering federal highways. However, the most challenging part is the final stretch of the journey, which involves a winding mountain road leading to the village.

In Huautla, we will spend two nights and one day at a beautiful local hotel where we will be served delicious meals. Upon arrival, we will rest after the journey, have dinner, and in the evening, we will hold an introductory circle to discuss intentions and requests for the ceremony with the Holy Children (Niños Santos).

On the second day, after breakfast, we will embark on a hiking tour to visit the power spots associated with Maria Sabina and explore several beautiful places linked to her life’s story.

After lunch and some rest, in the evening, as the sun sets, we will experience the Veladas ceremony with the local magic mushrooms and the legendary Mazatec prayers.

After the ceremony, we will return to our hotel to rest. The next morning, after breakfast and integrating our experiences, we will head back to Mexico City. Our journey will conclude in the evening upon our return.
